Roasted Chickpeas recipe

Chickpeas are a simple addition to any meal; they are easy to prepare, bursting with flavor, and unbelievable healthy. Harness the wonderful flavors of chickpeas in this simple Roasted Chickpea dish that features canned prepared chickpeas, zesty salt, garlic pepper and cayenne pepper, and high quality olive oil.   • 1 (12 oz) can chickpeas, drained
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • salt
  • garlic salt
  • cayenne pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

  2. Blot chickpeas with a paper towel to dry them.

  3. In large bowl combine chickpeas and olive oil, and toss to coat. Season to taste with salt, garlic salt, and cayenne pepper.

  4. Spread on a baking sheet; bake for about 35 minutes, until browned and crunchy

Maybe my oven runs hot. At 450 degrees F for 35 minutes, the majority of my chickpeas burned :( I will try this recipe again at a lower temperature and will watch the chickpeas.

Can they be prepared ahead, like 2 days before you want to serve them?
